Crash Bandicoot: Warped Getting a Sequel According to a Leak
The Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee has officially leaked a potential sequel to the Crash N.Sane Trilogy known as Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. The new Crash game will apparently have more in common with the original trilogy than the spin-offs such as Mind Over Mutant, Crash of the Titans and Twinsanity. Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time seemingly disregards the titles that weren’t included in the N.Sane Trilogy and picks up where Crash Bandicoot: Warped left off. The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is available right now for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
Although most leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, The Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee suggests that Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is a real project that is far enough into development for ratings boards to see it. The developers behind the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, Toys For Bob, are apparently working on the upcoming Crash Bandicoot sequel and it will include aesthetics and gameplay similar to the original three titles. According to the leaks, the game will be releasing for the Xbox One and PS4 as one of the last titles to be released for current-gen consoles.
Considering it has been leaked for PS4 and Xbox One, it’s likely that Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will join the Nintendo Switch if the leaks are accurate as well. The upcoming sequel will apparently include a mysterious new mask known as the Quantum Mask which materializes through a Quantum Rift. If the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee is to be believed, the plot of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time seems to focus on the Quantum Rift, similar to the next-gen Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
