Crash Team Rumble Comes Out in June With a Closed Beta Next Month

All Crash, No Crashing

Toys For Bob has been hard at work with the Crash Bandicoot series for the past few years. After their release of Crash 4, they are back with Crash Team Rumble. We got a preview of the game, so you can get the lowdown on what’s all about and how it sets itself apart from previous games.

This game takes the platforming of the series and elevates it with PvP objective-based combat. Squads of four clash in a desperate attempt to bank as many Wumpa fruits as they can before the opposing team.

Crash Team Rumble

If you are considering trying out Crash Team Rumble, you can play the closed beta. However, you have to commit. You have to pre-order the game to be eligible. A similar approach was made to play the Crash Bandicoot 4 demo before that game launched.

As we mentioned in our preview, there are were three different maps to see, but there are more in the full game. The preview build is likely what will be used in the beta, so you will be able to explore these three maps up close.

If you do pre-order Crash Team Rumble, the closed beta begins on April 20th and ends on April 24th. The game launches on PlayStation and Xbox, so those will be the only platforms for the beta.

Crash Team Rumble will fully launch on June 20th for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Will you be pre-ordering for the closed beta? Let us know in the comments below.
