PS5 Games Showcase Coming Next Month

Sony Confirms a PS5 Games Showcase for June

Sony has officially confirmed their PS5 games showcase coming soon, finally showing PlayStation fans what they can expect from next-gen. The PS5 games showcase will take place on June 4th at 1 AM PDT and it will run for about an hour. The showcase apparently won’t include the console itself but it will show fans a first look at titles they will be able to play on the next-gen PlayStation. Sony has confirmed that this showcase is one of many that fans can expect to see before the console releases later this year. With the PS5 games showcase coming on June 4th and the release of The Last of Us Part II on June 19th, Sony fans have lots to enjoy next month.

There are a handful of titles we know are coming to next-gen such as Yakuza: Like A Dragon, Overwatch 2 and the next Call of Duty title but we hope to see some PlayStation exclusives during the games showcase. Sony Interactive Entertainment’s president and CEO Jim Ryan has gone on the record stating that the games showcase might not include extensive gameplay clips but it will be more about giving fans an idea of what to expect like the recent Inside Xbox Series X games showcase.

“I’m excited to share that we will soon give you a first look at the games you’ll be playing after PlayStation 5 launches this holiday,” said Jim Ryan in a recent PlayStation blog post. “The games coming to PS5 represent the best in the industry from innovative studios that span the globe. Studios, both larger and smaller, those newer and those more established, all have been hard at work developing games that will showcase the potential of the hardware.”
