April 2020 Set a New Bar in Gaming Sales

April 2020 Most Lucrative April in Gaming History

Partially thanks to the success of Final Fantasy 7 Remake and the Nintendo Switch, April 2020 has broken records for the month. April 2020 has officially become the most lucrative April in the history of gaming according to the NPD and Final Fantasy 7 Remake is the software leading the charge, with the Nintendo Switch carrying hardware sales as it continues to be impossible to find on store shelves. Gamers spent $1.5 billion on games and hardware in April 2020, topping the $1.2 billion generated in April 2008. Final Fantasy 7 Remake is available exclusively for the PS4 right now.
