Stardew Valley Getting Expanded in Other Games

Stardew Valley Developer Working on Connected Gaming Universe

According to Stardew Valley’s lone developer, Eric Barone, there are two games in the works that connect to his original farming simulator in some way. Barone took to Twitter to announce the development of two unnamed games which will tie into Stardew, with one being particularly linked and the other being loosely tied to the farming sim. Although SV continues to get updated and expanded upon, Barone announced the Stardew-adjacent title in the works a while ago, but now he has confirmed another one. Stardew Valley is available for Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac, Mobile, Xbox One and PS4 now.

Stardew Valley Multiplayer

A Twitter user recently asked Eric Barone, “are you planning to make a new game in the Stardew Valley universe?” to which the lone developer of Stardew proclaimed: “yes, I’m actually working on a couple of new projects. One takes place in the world of Stardew Valley, but is not a farming game. The other, I’m not 100% sure about the world yet, but it will tie into Stardew Valley in some way.” Although these titles are unnamed, it’s interesting to know both are connected to Stardew in some way. We’re interested to see whether the games follow the simulator gameplay of the original or if they’ll be new experiences entirely.

Although it isn’t a new concept that Barone is working on a Stardew-linked title, with the developer making an announcement about it over a year ago, but we now know two titles are in development and both are linked in some way to the original farming sim. Barone has apparently also said that he’s not lifting the veil on these projects because he enjoys that there’s no expectations about the progress he’s making or pressure to release the games sooner.
