Xbox One Finally Has Stardew Valley Multiplayer, Update 1.4 Next

Farmhands, Assemble!

Even though multiplayer has existed for Stardew Valley for more than a year, update 1.3 has not been fully pushed out until yesterday. Last month, developer ConcerneApe AKA Eric Barone spoke about the Stardew Valley multiplayer delays on the Xbox One. He said that each platform has different challenges to make it work, but lo and behold, it now works. All the different platforms are now caught up to each other. Barone made this announcement yesterday on Twitter. So, get your friends together; at dawn… we farm.

Stardew Valley Multiplayer

Update 1.3, which was mostly highlighted for implementing multiplayer, first came to PC on August 1st, 2018. So, not this past August, last August. Since then, the update had made its way to PS4 and Nintendo Switch. If you have yet to experience or see any trace of this feature, allow us to fill you in. All players share the same farmland and money pool. They have their individual cabins on the farm and have their own tools, but can work collaboratively or concurrently. There is also an option to scale the profit margins for selling items, 100% being the default. This feature is to scale economic difficulty because obviously 4 players can earn money way faster than just one.

The next update coming will be 1.4. Barone calls this the “everything” update because it will touch on every aspect of the game. In the tweet announcing Xbox One reaching 1.3, fans have asked about 1.4 coming to PC. ConcernedApe says that it is very close to launching and that he is just “finishing up a few final things”. Stardew Valley is out on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
