First Three Five Nights at Freddy’s Games Are Creeping onto Switch

Mobile Jump-Scares

The Five Nights at Freddy’s series has been a digital example of diminishing return. The first four games all came out in a span of two years. Still, they provide some good scares for players. Turn out the lights, tune out distractions, make an evening out of it and you are bound to get your blood pumping. The Nintendo Switch, which is the king of making older console and PC games mobile, has lined up the first three Five Nights at Freddy’s games for release, pretty soon, too. It may be a little late for Halloween, but horror fans are not seasonal.

Five Nights at Freddy's Games

I’ve made clear my concerns about scary games on the Switch with the announcement of the Amnesia ports to the console. You know, dropping controllers in fear gets a little more expensive when your controller is also the console. Maybe save the horror games for docked play. Regardless, Five Nights at Freddy’s 1, 2, and 3 are going to be priced a $9.99 CAD each. It is unclear if there will be a physical release for these games. There would likely be a bundle if there were, but they are being sold separately.

Right now, all Five Nights at Freddy’s games, both main series and spin-offs, are exclusive to PC, with the exception of the VR game which is on PSVR. Nintendo Switch is the only console to have the FNaF games. They will be available for purchase on the Switch on November 29th.
