Your Farm Life Awaits in Stardew Valley
Stardew Valley Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is now available on the Nintendo eShop for $14.99. Players who already own the original Switch version can upgrade to the new edition through a free Upgrade Pack, making the transition seamless for returning farmers.
Originally released on PC via Steam in February 2016, Stardew Valley steadily expanded across platforms, arriving on Linux and Mac later that year, followed by PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PS Vita, and eventually mobile devices on iOS and Android. The PC version is also available through GOG and the Humble Store. Over the years, the game has grown into a beloved life simulation experience known for its depth, charm, and flexibility.

In Stardew Valley, players inherit their grandfather’s neglected farm and begin a new life in a quiet rural town. Starting with basic tools and limited funds, players clear land, grow crops, raise animals, and slowly rebuild both the farm and their place in the community. The arrival of Joja Corporation has led to a decline in the town’s traditions, with the community center falling into disrepair. Through steady effort and thoughtful choices, players can help restore the valley and shape its future.
Multiplayer expands the experience further by allowing up to seven additional players to join. Friends can collaborate on farming, share resources, and form relationships, while adjustable profit margins add an extra layer of challenge.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition introduces refined features, such as intuitive mouse controls for smoother inventory management, local split-screen co-op for up to four players, online multiplayer for up to eight participants, and Game Share support that lets friends join with just one copy of the game.
