Unannounced Remedy Game Is In Pre-Production

Also, Next Gen Ports of Control Could Be In Development

Remedy Entertainment has an unannounced game that’s currently in pre-production, according to lengthy Friday financial statements from the studio. The statements didn’t hint that this project was a sequel to last year’s Control (which would presumably be titled “Control 2”) but such speculation doesn’t seem too out there.

According to the statement, along with Control’s upcoming DLC, CrossfireX’s singleplayer campaign, and a game titled “Vanguard”, an unannounced project is also currently in the works. This is likely a next gen project since the new Xbox and PlayStation are expected to launch later this year.

Also, Remedy CEO Tero Virtala hinted that Control could be ported to next-gen consoles. “Control’s high quality, uniqueness and technical innovation provide opportunities to bring the game to new platforms,” Virtala said in the financial statements. “The post-launch sales have settled on a good level, and the game has maintained a relatively high average sales price.”
