Amid Rumors, Nintendo is Doing a New Horizons Direct Soon
Nintendo has officially announced that they’ll be sharing more information about Animal Crossing: New Horizons during a Direct on Thursday morning. The 25-minute livestream will cover all things New Horizons, with the latest installment of Animal Crossing release being precisely a month from that day. Nintendo will be going in-depth with their upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusive at six a.m. pacific-standard time on Thursday so be up early if you’re excited for New Horizons.
Nintendo stated during part of a recent statement that the Animal Crossing Direct will be an “in-depth look at Nook Inc.’s Deserted Island Getaway Package.” This will likely show fans of the series what to expect in arriving on their secluded islands, how to expand their village and their homes, while trying to payoff the never-ending debt to Tom Nook himself. For those who are looking to get a Nintendo Switch specifically for New Horizons, there will be an aesthetically pleasing bundle themed around the latest Animal Crossing game.
Ahead of the announcement about the upcoming Animal Crossing Direct, rumors were circulating around the internet about a general Nintendo Direct coming soon. Some SKU’s being leaked also seemed to suggest that concept but it’s likely that with this New Horizons themed Nintendo Direct happening this week, it’s unlikely that the general Direct drought will end any time soon. Twitter user @NintwndoAmerica was able to swindle many people on the platform with rumors about a big Nintendo Direct but Nintendo was swift in putting those rumors to an end with this announcement.
