Animal Crossing: New Horizons Direct Offers Fans Answers
Animal Crossing fans were recently given plenty of answers to their questions in the recent New Horizons Direct, including the ability to transport land, place the homes of your islanders and new decoration options. The game’s photo mode was regularly portrayed, including a group photo while explaining how the online multiplayer works. The Animal Crossing Direct also showed off the new museum and details on the newly implemented crafting system. New Horizons will be exclusive for the Nintendo Switch when it releases on March 20th.
Animal Crossing fans will be able to select the layout of their island from several choices when they depart for their getaway island. They’ll have to collect Nook miles by completing challenges to purchase new items and pay off their debt, but bells will still be used for other things. NookLink is a companion mobile app that will connect players from around the world and it will release shortly after the launch of New Horizons. New characters were spread out throughout the Direct, including a triceratops that has the community buzzing and a new turnips vendor with a runny nose.
The Able Sisters have returned for New Horizons and the customizable patterns that gamers make with the hedgehogs can be put on furniture as well as their clothes, walls, etc. Placing items has been made easier with New Horizons, allowing gamers to select multiple items and providing a placement grid to show them how things will fit before placing them. Familiar faces like Kick, Celeste and Saharah have returned, providing more things to do as your island expands into a village that feels familiar to other games in the series.
