Wrestling Fans Cannot Play WWE 2K20 in 2020
While WWE 2K20 faced a number of issues at launch, making it nearly unplayable with how many glitches it had, fans can’t even access the game in 2020. WWE 2K20 is crashing now that it’s 2020 which is odd, given that it’s the titular year of the game. Gamers trying to load any game mode in 2020 are met with a crash that sends them back to the home screen, leaving the game unplayable. So far, the only confirmed fix for this is to change your platform’s internal clock back to 2019. WWE 2K20 is available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC now. whether you can play it or not.
Even though PS4 and PC gamers can easily change their internal clocks, Xbox One users can’t change the date and are stuck with the unplayable wrestling game. WWE 2K20 has been a broken mess of a game since it released in October and these hard crashes are just the latest addition to the wrestling botch of a game. Although Visual Concepts claim they worked hard in patching WWE 2K20 to be a playable experience, apparently they didn’t anticipate the year 2020 to be the biggest problem they’ve faced thus far. It’s unlikely that fans who stuck with this 2K title will be pre-ordering their next release if they can’t be guaranteed that it will work in the year that it represents.
Creative director at Visual Concepts, Lynell Jinks, has been quoted as saying “we want to thank Yuke’s for all of their hard work. They put 20 years into this franchise and we just want to thank them for all their hard work, but it’s our time to take our shot as Visual Concepts to develop this game. We’ve been working really hard to give you what our vision of the future of this franchise is. We really can’t wait for your guys to check it out.” This statement hasn’t stood the test of time as 2019 rolled into 2020 and the game became completely unplayable.
