You Missed the Damn Train CJ
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is one of the most beloved games of all time. Regardless of its mediocre reviews at the time of its release, San Andreas has become a classic in the eyes of millions of people. The setting and most importantly the characters are what really make this GTA title stick out. Players unilaterally adored the main protagonist CJ, and have begged Rockstar to add him into the future GTA games like IV and V. Unfortunately, CJ never made it into those games. The reasons for this could be endless, but it now appears that the person who voiced CJ has a very rocky relationship with Rockstar.
The exact reason is not clear but Chris “Young Maylay” Bellard the man who voices CJ has a bone to pick with his previous employers. Rumors have been swirling around the internet that CJ would make his return to the series in GTA VI. But it now looks as though that is never going to happen. Bellard took to Instagram to make it very clear to everyone that he was not going to have anything to do with the next Grand Theft Auto game. In the post Bellard said, “F*** Rockstar Games.”
This is obviously going to be heartbreaking news to some, but the chances that we will ever see a modern version of CJ is slim to none. If it makes anyone feel better, it is very rare that Rockstar ever reuses protagonists in their games. There have been almost zero cameos from any of the main GTA characters aside from a couple of cheeky references to Niko Bellic here and there. Whatever the next GTA is it will be done without Chris Bellard.
