Call of Duty Modern Warfare Has Received an Extension on Season One
According to Infinity Ward, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s season one has been extended until February 11, adding eight days to the season. Infinity Ward claims the season is being extended to release new content to the first season, rather than holding content to release on season two, such as a new crossbow to equip your soldiers with. The crossbow is part of a new challenge and the developers of Modern Warfare have announced that double XP, double weapon XP and double tier progression is coming soon too, which will help gamers level the new weapon. Modern Warfare is available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
The first double XP, double weapon XP and double tier progression since the extension of season one got announced will happen this weekend, which will help any lapsed players catch up in the Battle Pass a little bit before the second season release. Other challenges and remixed game modes will also drop between now and February 11th but 3v3 gunfight was recently added to the game and Shoothouse 24/7 came back as a playlist for a limited time.
“To make room for all that activity, we are making a one-time extension of Season One,” said Infinity Ward on Modern Warfare’s official website. “It’s now ending on February 11. During that time, there will be 2XP, 2X Weapon XP, and 2X Tier Progression to help you finish up your Officer Ranks and Tiers, and get you ready for an exciting Season Two.” Considering the extension allowed Infinity Ward to add another new weapon to season one, we’re curious to see what season two has in store for Call of Duty fans.
