Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok Rumors Booming With a Potential February Reveal
Last month, it was rumored that Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok would be revealed on February 12th and now more rumors are circulating regarding what fans of the series can expect in the upcoming Viking themed AC game. These latest rumors have circulated on Reddit and 4Chan and they suggest the next Assassin’s Creed will allow gamers to drop-in and drop-out of their friends’ games for 4-player co-op, similar to Ghost Recon Wildlands. Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok is rumored to be cross-generational with PS4, Xbox One and PC, as well as the upcoming Xbox Series X and PS5.
Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok apparently begins in the year 845 CE, which is when the prologue takes place. Not much detail is given into the length of the prologue, but it will likely be similar to the last few Assassin’s Creed titles. After gamers finish the prologue, they take control of a teenage Jora in the year 863 CE and they’ll be able to select between a male or female Jora, similar to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The upcoming Assassin’s Creed title will apparently go deeper into the RPG territory than AC Origins and AC Odyssey rather than being heavily action and stealth focused like older titles in the series.
No connection between Templars and the Assassin’s has been confirmed yet, but the protagonist has some sort of connection to Odin. so fittingly their Eagle Vision comes from a raven. Apparently there will be various classes to choose from in the game which will mildly impact the skill tree, similar to the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The rumors suggest that more weapon types have been added to the game and gamers can add runes to their weapons to give them elemental abilities. The full set of rumors can be found here.
