New Ghost of Tsushima Trailer Planned for The Game Awards

More of Ghost of Tsushima Will Be Shown Later This Week

A teaser for Sucker Punch’s upcoming open-world PS4 game Ghost of Tsushima was shown at the end of Tuesday’s State of Play presentation. According to the teaser posted below, the full trailer will be shown at The Game Awards on December 12th.

Set during a Mongol invasion of Japan’s Tsushima Island during the 13th century, Ghost of Tsushima is about a samurai warrior named Jin, who’s fighting against Mongols by using both samurai and ninja tactics.

Ghost of Tsushima was last shown at Sony’s E3 2018 conference alongside other major PS4 exclusives such as The Last of Us Part II, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and Death Stranding. Spider-Man and Death Stranding have both launched since then and The Last of Us Part II currently has an official May 2020 release date. Meanwhile, Ghost of Tsushima has never even received a release window.

It’s been so long since anything new about the game was shown that gamers have speculated that the open-world samurai/ninja game was going to come out on PS5 instead of PS4. However, Sony Interactive Entertainment boss Jim Ryan confirmed during the official October announcement of the PS5 that Sucker Punch’s latest game was still slated for a PS4 launch.

Hopefully, this upcoming trailer will reveal a release date or release window along with new gameplay since not much has been revealed about the game other than its story premise, some combat gameplay, and a few gameplay details.
