Major Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Villains Don’t Have to Stay Dead
Fans of the Dragon Ball series are familiar with the power of collecting all seven Dragon Balls and how heroes can raise their friends from the dead with them. According to Bandai Namco, the Dragon Balls can be used for more nefarious purposes such as raising Cell and Frieza once they’ve been defeated. Gamers living on the edge can summon their enemies back into reality to uncover aspects of their story. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot releases for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on January 17th 2020.
Once the defeated villains of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot are resurrected using the power of the Dragon Balls, gamers can play missions for each character, all of which have their own short alternate story side quest that will apparently reward a lot of experience and Soul Emblems. This won’t be a necessary part of the plot, but completionists will enjoy more aspects of the plot to uncover and more gameplay to explore. We’re looking forward to exploring more of the villain storylines when the game releases in January.
“With the power of the Dragon Balls you can revive powerful enemies for a short sub-quest to get their Soul Emblems + experience an exclusive short scenario,” unveiled the official Bandai Namco Twitter page, putting to rest any rumors about the capabilities of the Dragon Balls in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. “Which powerful warrior will you bring back first?” Sequentially, it’s likely we’ll bring Raditz back and see if him and Goku have any interesting dialogue afterwards. It would be interesting if Bandai Namco took this idea further and allowed you to resurrect long dead villains from the original series.
