Borderlands 3 is Free Until November 24th
Gearbox’s successful looter shooter, Borderlands 3, is available for free this weekend until November 24th. Fans of the Borderlands series who haven’t quite taken the leap to the third title will be able to give the base game, as well as the Maliwan Takedown content, until the end of the weekend to see if the game is worth buying for them. The free weekend sets up the upcoming first paid DLC of the title, Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, which releases on December 19th. Gamers can try Borderlands for free this weekend on Xbox One and PS4.
Borderlands 3 includes many fundamental improvements from its predecessors such as the gunplay. The game combines fun and chaotic gameplay with memorable characters and RPG-lite progression to create the definitive Borderlands experience. So far, the most recent installment in the Borderlands franchise has sold over seven million units since launch and it’s likely that this free weekend taste test will sell more units on November 25th. With Borderlands 3 being Gearbox’s most successful title to date, it’s likely the series will receive more sequels but this free weekend is a great way for new fans to get their hands on the quirky 2K Game. With the game receiving both paid and free DLC, anyone picking up the title beyond the free weekend still has a lot more content to look forward to beyond Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot.
