Apex Legends Level Cap Receives a Major Increase Next Week

Get on My Level

Level caps got you down? Well, not down, but they definitely limit you. It’s a happy day when level caps get increased, no matter what game you play. That’s why Apex Legends players will be very excited come next week. On December 3rd, an update will launch that will increase the Apex Legends level cap in a dramatic fashion. The limit that was once 100 will be pushed to a staggering 500. Not only will the level cap increase, but there will be a number of other additions made to progression as well.

Apex Legends Level Cap

Because the cap has been moved from level 100 to 500, the amount of experience needed to get to 100 has been lowered a bit, so players hovering around the 98, 99 range may unexpectedly level up overnight. There will also be a significant increase to how many Apex Packs that players can open as they level up. There used to be a 45 pack limit between level 1 and 100, but now players will be able to open 59 in that range, and continue to open a total of 199 on the way to level 500. EA has laid out the changes in progression in their update blog:

  • Level 2 – 20: One pack every level (19 Apex Packs total)
  • Level 22 – 300: One pack every two levels (140 Apex Packs total)
  • Level 305 – 500: One pack every five levels (40 Apex Packs total)
  • You will continue to earn 600 Legend Tokens per level and per 18,000 XP at level 500

There will also be new Gun Charms added to Apex Packs and in the Rotating Shop. Every 10 levels between 110 and 500, players will receive a Player Level Badge, and every 100 levels they will receive a Level Gun Charm. All this comes into effect on December 3rd.

If you’ve stopped playing Apex Legends, will this be enough to get you back into it? Let us know in the comments below.
