The PlayStation Store Website Offers Deals for PlayStation Plus Subscribers
The Direct PlayStation Store was recently made by Sony, allowing gamers to purchase boxed copies of games, controllers, hardware, PlayStation Plus membership cards and more physical items. PlayStation Plus members will get exclusive access to free 1-Day shipping on any items from the new Direct PlayStation store. The site is available right here now, but so far they only ship products to the US but that’s expected to change overtime considering the options available to Xbox users through Microsoft and Switch gamers through Nintendo.
The Direct PlayStation site is offering deals on the PlayStation 4 with a 12-month PlayStation Plus membership for $339.99 US and the PlayStation 4 Pro with a 12-month PlayStation Plus membership for $429.99 US. The current lineup of physical games that gamers can purchase through the new PlayStation store is full of Sony Exclusives: Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, The Last of Us Remastered, Ratchet & Clank, Quantic Dream Collection, MLB The Show 19, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition, Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War 3 Remastered, Days Gone, Bloodborne, Blood & Truth and Astro Bot: Rescue Mission.
It’s nice that US gamers are being offered $20 off on the base PS4 bundle and $30 off the PS4 Pro bundle but so far the store is looking pretty bare bones. The free express shipping is always a nice feature, though we don’t think it’s a sustainable offer if they end up shipping a lot of consoles. Because the competing Microsoft and Nintendo stores occasionally offer deals on accessories, controllers, etc. it’s likely that the PlayStation Store will eventually change the console deal to something else eventually. The PlayStation Store offers great deals on digital titles every month and is a great service that’s part of the PlayStation Plus experience but this PlayStation Store is just a website that gamers can order all of their physical PlayStation gear in one place.
