The Anticipated Anthem Cataclysm Update Is upon Us, Bringing Game Changing Features
Update 1.3.0 is Anthem’s biggest update so far new weapons, gear, a proper guild system with Anthem guild app integration. Cataclysm Update 1.3.0 brings gameplay changing Inversions which will each change gameplay in a different way to challenge gamers going from one Inversion to another. Inversions will impede players or benefit them in a certain way, forcing you to adapt your strategy as you continue playing through the zone. Cataclysm Update 1.3.0 is available on PS4, Xbox One and PC for free right now and is around sixteen gigabytes.
The Cataclysm is a new event/zone within Bioware’s Anthem available to players of any level. The Cataclysm has eight unique arenas and tons of challenges and missions. Each fifteen minute arena gamers complete will add to a score multiplier which encourages socializing with your teammates to effectively tackle each challenge. Players increasingly gather a new currency called Crystals as they increase their multiplier. Daily challenges and other events in the Cataclysm and freeplay will reward Crystals which gamers will use to receive Cataclysm update exclusive gear, weapons, etc. Bioware promises new challenges and rewards each week so entice any lapsed Anthem players to become recurring players or even Anthem fans.
There are nine new unique projectile weapons as well as new melee weapons and eight new gear items which promise to be more effective than any of the introductory gear. Speaking of one of many infamous Anthem bugs, update 1.3.0 features a number of bug fixes such as Marelda’s conversation ending properly rather than abruptly and allowing players to repeat Mysterious Beginnings from the End of Expedition screen. Bioware also adjusted enemy AI to register damage and react to the environment more appropriately. There are a number of other significant changes made to the game illustrated in the patch notes that are worth reading while gamers wait for this big download to finish.
