You Have Been Cordially Invited
A few days ago on Twitter, the official Borderlands account tweeted out a wedding-like invitation. It is for something Gearbox is calling a “Celebration of Togetherness.” Gearbox GEO Randy Pitchford also tweeted it out. The invitation/image itself is in the style of the Borderlands 3 box art. The roses on either side of the image have faces of various Borderlands characters. There really is not any indication about what this Borderlands 3 Celebration of Togetherness is all about, but there is speculation about what it could be.
There are ideas floating around that this “Celebration of Togetherness” will be announcing cross-play for Borderlands 3. The rumor of cross-play has been bouncing around for a little while already and Gearbox has already been taken big steps to make co-op as easy and seamless as possible. This event or announcement or whatever it is will take place this Tuesday, July 16th at 7:00 AM Pacific Time. If that’s too early for you, we will be sure to catch you up later.
