Mortal Kombat 11 Gets Kompetitive
Mortal Kombat 11 is getting updated on Tuesday with the “Kombat League”, an online seasonal ranked mode that has exclusive rewards for victorious players.
“In Kombat League, players compete in ranked matches during a four-week season to progress through nine tiers, climbing from the ranks of Apprentice to Elder God,” a press release read. “Players will be rewarded with exclusive in-game items for each unlocked rank.”
These rewards will be “cumulative” and players win “unlocked items up to the highest tier achieved in a given season.” Other items can be obtained by completing “daily and seasonal quests.” Additionally, each season will have new rewards to earn.
When it comes to matchmaking, the Kombat League aims to keep things fair by only matching up players who are equal or close in their skill levels. The update will also add a meter that will provide “a quick look at [the player’s] odds of winning against an opponent at the beginning of each ranked match.”
