A Brand New Trailer for Outer Worlds Has Just Been Revealed

Outer Worlds, from developer Obsidian, was originally announced at last years Game Awards and despite some recent rumblings and a Steam page stating an August 2019 release date, information about Outer Worlds has been pretty scarce. Today however that has all changed as on Microsoft’s biggest stage, they dropped a brand new trailer for the upcoming trailer and it’s pretty damn sweet.

But it’s not just a brand new gameplay trailer that dropped on the biggest stage of the year because at the end of it all, there was a release date showcased as well. So when is Outer Worlds set to drop? It seems the hint many thought was a possible release date was simply just a placeholder on Steam because according to the big reveal from Microsoft earlier today, Outer Worlds is set to release on October 25th, 2019 for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. You can check out the brand new trailer for yourself below.

And if you’re unaware of Outer Worlds so far, it’s set to be a single-player first-person sci-fi RPG. Here’s a description from the official Steam Page: “Lost in transit while on a colonist ship bound for the furthest edge of the galaxy, you awake decades later only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy the Halcyon colony. As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter various factions, all vying for power, the character you decide to become will determine how this player-driven story unfolds. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.”
