Telltale’s Games Will be Removed From GOG Next Week

Telltale is Going to Lose Majority of Their Games

All Telltale Games will be off of GOG by next week if everything goes according to plan. “Tales from the Borderland,” an RPG that you guessed it, focuses around the Borderlands series has just recently been moved off of Steam. A spokesperson from 2K stated that “All prior digital purchases of the game will of course still be honored and supported.” So don’t panic if you’ve pre-ordered.

Telltale's The Walking Dead: The Final Season

All that remains of their other games will be pulled as well. This plans to happen as of Monday 27th, 10am UTC. Here is a short list of said games.

The Wolf Among Us, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Hector: Badge of Carnage, the Batman series, Sam & Max series, Puzzle Agent series, Tales from the Borderlands, and Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People.

On somewhat of a brighter note, the situation at The Epic Games Store has been totally different. There has not been a change to Telltales The Walking Dead Series. They are still available. The same goes for the Xbox and PlayStation 4 online stores.

The future of Telltale’s titles is unclear at this moment. However, their biggest series doesn’t seem to be in jeopardy as of now. The Walking Dead is unlikely to meet the same fate as all the other games by Telltale. If it ever started disappearing off of stores it would be quite shocking due to its general success. But nothing is certain.

Other titles like Tales of Monkey Island, Jurassic Park: The Game and Back to the Future: The Game were removed from Steam last November. The writing has been on the wall for some time now. As bleak as this is there is still a handful of Telltale’s games available on Steam and The Epic Games Store.
