Microsoft’s E3 2019 Schedule Revealed

This Upcoming E3 Conference Could Be Microsoft’s Best One Yet

Microsoft is planning to hold its E3 2019 conference on June 9th at 4 PM ET/1 PM PDT, the company announced Tuesday. Also, Microsoft’s Inside Xbox show will have a June 10th livestream and it’ll include “exclusive announcements, game demos, interviews, giveaways and more.”

With its chief rival Sony being a no-show at E3 this year and a next-gen Xbox console rumored for a Holiday 2020 launch, this upcoming conference could be a victory lap for Microsoft.

More info on upcoming Xbox One games such as Gears of War 5 and Halo Infinite could be revealed at the conference along with additional details for Xbox’s streaming platform, Project xCloud. There could also be some next-gen Xbox teases and hints at what Microsoft’s first-party studios have been working on.

When it comes to all this E3 speculation, it’s likely that Microsoft’s upcoming conference will have a significant focus on game streaming.

In response to March’s Google Stadia announcement, Xbox head Phil Spencer wrote in an internal company email that Microsoft will “go big” at E3 2019 when it comes to streaming. Also, Xbox marketing executive Mike Nichols recently told The Telegraph, “Emerging competitors like Google have a cloud infrastructure, a community with YouTube, but they don’t have the content.”
