Pokemon: Let’s Go Demo Comes to the Nintendo eShop

The First Hit is Always Free

The latest Pokemon games may have dropped back in November, but almost three months later, there’s finally a demo available for players to taste the sweet nostalgia of Kanto.

Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu Eevee

The demo lets players check out the new motion controls and Pokemon catching mechanics while running around Viridian Forest doing field work for Professor Oak. Your partner Pokemon will be randomly selected between Pikachu and Eevee, but you’ll get both of them anyways, along with Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charmander and Meowth.

According to the experts over at Serebii, this demo is similar to the one present at marketing tours leading up to the game’s release and takes up a whopping 2.2GB of space. There’s no play limit, but unfortunately player progress won’t carry over into the full game.

Let’s Go Eevee and Let’s Go Pikachu are currently available for Nintendo Switch. In other recent Pokemon news, GO is currently having a Lunar New Year event with a ton of monsters receiving increased spawn rates, and an official “CardDex” app was recently released for the trading card game. Let us know if you’ll be checking out the demo in the comments!
