Ready at Dawn Is Taking a Crack at Another Big Game
The careers section of the official website for Ready at Dawn Studios mentions that the development studio is currently hiring for a “new AAA third-person action console title, based on a brand new original IP”.
Ever since The Order: 1886 launched back in 2015, the studio hasn’t released a similar AAA title. Instead the studio released Deformers, a multiplayer beat ’em up game, in 2017 and has also been releasing and developing several VR games in subsequent years.
The Order: 1886 had an underwhelming reception during its release (though our reviewer seemed to love the game) and it’s been years since that game came out, so it’s somewhat surprising that Ready at Dawn is developing another AAA third-person shooter based on another original IP.
Unfortunately, for The Order: 1886 fans, the fact that this is going to be a new game instead of a sequel to the 2015 shooter means that the prospect of a sequel seems less & less likely.
