Marvel’s Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order Announced Exclusively For Switch

Ultimate Alliance Returns Exclusively For The Switch

Tonight at The Game Awards in LA, Nintendo announced that the next chapter in the Ultimate Alliance series will be coming in 2019 exclusively for the Switch.

Players will once again take up the role of their favorite Marvel superhero in a race to find the infinity stones before the nefarious Thanos and the Black Order. As you can see in the picture below, it includes all of the characters from the MCU as well as the X-Men, who Marvel recently reacquired as part of Disney’s acquisition of Fox properties.

The game will include drop-in/drop-out co-op for up to four players online or locally, and a modern over the shoulder perspective called “Heroic Camera.”

No exact release date yet, but the game is being developed by Team Ninja, known for the Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden series, as well as cult-hit soulslike Nioh. As mentioned previously, the game is exclusive to Nintendo Switch, which is particularly interesting because the recent Ultimate Alliance remasters did not come to the hybrid console, or it’s predecessor, the Nintendo Switch.
