Crash Team Racing Remake Will Also Have Brand New Content

Beenox is Adding New Karts and Tracks to Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled

It’s nice to see Crash Bandicoot back in action these days. The N’Sane Trilogy turned out to be a huge success for Activision so it wasn’t a big surprise when a Crash Team Racing remake was revealed at The Game Awards last Thursday. While fans are over the moon that a remake of the PS1 classic is coming next year, newly discovered info reveals that developer Beenox is going above and beyond the obvious graphical overhaul; they’re also adding all-new content to the game too.

As indicated on the game’s description on Amazon, aside from the same game modes, characters, power-ups, weapons, and controls from the original, Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled will also contain additional karts and tracks from “beyond the original game.”  The description also confirms the inclusion of online multiplayer and online leaderboards. Amazon even has the official PS4 box art already on its page for your viewing pleasure.

Details regarding those extra karts and tracks are non-existent right now, but we’re positive we’ll hear more about them as we get closer to launch.

Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled is due out on June 21st, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The N’Sane Trilogy was exclusive on the PS4 for a full year before making its way to the other platforms. That isn’t the case with CTR: Nitro Fueled this time around, which should make any console owner happy.
