Shadow of the Tomb Raider’s New DLC Launches December 18th
Square Enix has announced the second DLC add-on for Shadow of the Tomb Raider called The Pillar. It will be available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on December 18th.
Announced via the official Tomb Raider Twitter account, The Pillar is the next adventure for Shadow of the Tomb Raider. According to the tweet, players will “venture in the Path of the Huracan to discover the truth behind the legend of the Maya apocalypse.”

Not long after the initial announcement, a second tweet showed a four-minute long behind the scenes video about the making of The Pillar. It’s an interesting look into Eidos Montreal and the making of the DLC, featuring an inside look at concept art and gameplay.

There are plans to release a total of seven DLC packs for the Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The first DLC, The Forge, was released in November; we said it’s “worth checking out” if you’re a fan of the main game. Check out our full review for more info.
Not much else is known about The Pillar, other than the fact that it should be about the same length as The Forge which added a new Challenge Tomb, modes, and weapons. If each of the remaining add-ons ends up being the same length, then it’s safe to say that the third Tomb Raider game may end up being the largest one yet.
