First Detective Pikachu Trailer Drops

Pikachu And Friends Come To Life In The First Live Action Pokemon Movie

The first trailer for the upcoming Detective Pikachu movie has finally dropped and it has all the realistic renditions of Pokemon fans have been clamoring for over the years.

The trailer features a ton of Pokemon from different generations in a photo-realistic art style, which is sure to please fans who have been foaming at the mouth for exactly that, seeing as it’s one of the series’ most popular forms of fan-art and is often used in fan-films. It’s also worth noting that the movie has been receiving positive reactions in test screenings according to SuperBroMovies, with Ryan Reynolds performance as Pikachu being highlighted as a standout performance – a statement that is immediately at the top of “thing I never thought I would say.” (Nothing against Reynolds or Pikachu, I’m a huge fan of both personally, it’s just…….we live in interesting times!) There’s apparently also quite a bit of fan service, but mostly “focuses on telling a mystery in a unique, neon-lit world where Pokemon and humans live in harmony.”
