Spyro Reignited Trilogy’s Launch Trailer Arrives Pretty Early

This New Trailer Shows Off More of the Game’s Vibrant World

The launch trailer for Spyro Reignited Trilogy came out on Tuesday despite the game not being scheduled to release on the PS4 & Xbox One for almost three more weeks.

The upcoming remake trilogy will include current-gen remakes of the original PS1 Spyro trilogy along with a modern control scheme. The remake was met with much praise initially until it was revealed in August that the physical version of the game would be launching with only the first game on the disc while the other two games would have to be downloaded separately.

This resulted in a lot of criticism from the Spyro community towards the game’s developer, Toys for Bob, and its publisher, Activision. Later that month, it was announced that Spyro Reignited Trilogy would be delayed from its original release date of September 21st to its current release date of November 13th.

Paul Yan, the co-studio head of Toys for Bob, stated at the time that the reason behind the delay was to give the remake trilogy “more love and care” during development. Similarly, Activison said that the game had to be delayed so that it “not only lives up to fans’ expectations but our own incredibly high standards.”
