Call of Duty Movie Announces Writer and Director

Call of Duty Hitting the Big Screen

Sometimes video games make great movies. Yet, of course, to make a great movie, there needs to be a great writer behind the scenes. Just as importantly, there needs to be a great director to bring it all together. Today, Paramount Pictures and Activision are happy to provide some more details on the in-development Call of Duty Movie. In fact, today, Paramount is revealing both the writer and director for the film. A press release provides more details on the writer, Taylor Sheridan, and the director, Peter Berg.

The Call of Duty movie is being written and directed by a duo that goes back quite a bit. In fact, the two have worked with one another on movies such as Academy Award nominated Hell or High Water and Wind River. Of course, this duo is writer Taylor Sheridan and director Peter Berg. Berg, the director of films such as Friday Night Lights and Lone Survivor, is an acclaimed director who is now stranger to military based films. Importantly, at his side is the Academy Award nominated writer Taylor Sheridan who has worked on Paramount series such as Yellowstone, Tulsa King, and 1883.

Paramount and Activision are aiming to bring one of the most successful video game franchises of all time to the big screen. Importantly, both companies will work to deliver what fans expect from Call of Duty.
