Let’s GO To The Park
Nintendo has released a new video detailing the mechanics involving Pokemon GO transfers to the upcoming Let’s GO titles, as well as showing off how battles against Legendary Pokemon will work.
The Pokemon Let’s GO titles will allow trainers to transfer Gen 1/Kanto Region Pokemon from their GO account to the upcoming Switch titles, including their Alolan varieties. Pokemon will be held in one of 20 GO Parks with a capacity of 50 Pokemon each, where players will need to find and recapture them. Though you can connect multiple GO accounts to the Let’s GO titles, players will be unable to transfer Pokemon back to the mobile AR title.
When players have dispensed 25 of a specific Pokemon to the GO Park, they’ll have the opportunity to play minigame in which they’ll effectively herd those Pokemon to a specific area that will award them candies, allowing them to power up their other Pokemon. Different kinds of candies focusing on specific stats like Attack, Speed and Defense will be present, and can be seen in the video as Tough Candy, Mighty Candy, Courage Candy and Quick Candy. Players can also earn candies by transferring them to Oak, or walking around with them in the Poke Ball Plus.
Players will also be able to battle Legendary Pokemon, though it’s unclear if that’s involving Pokemon transferred via a GO account, or just the ones found in the regular main game. It’s also noted that Poke Ball Plus incentive Mew will be able to learn just about any move in the game.
Pokemon GO is currently having a Kanto filled event ahead of the Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu and Eevee launch this coming October 16th exclusively for Nintendo Switch. Be sure to check out the recently announced Let’s GO Switch Bundle as well, as it’s super duper cute.
