The First Chapter for Final Fantasy Xv: Pocket Edition Won’t Even Cost You a Penny
Now you can finally play Final Fantasy XV anytime and anywhere, thanks to Square Enix releasing a mobile edition of the critically acclaimed game. This time around, Noctis and the gang get remade in an adorable chibi art style, though keeping their original voice actors, and some tweaks have been made to the controls to make them suitable for mobile devices.
The game will retell Final Fantasy: XV’s beloved story of crown prince Noctis’ journey through the kingdom of Lucis alongside his BFFs Gladio, Prompto, and Ignis. The story will be broken down into 10 chapters, all of which are available now. The first episode is free of charge, whilst episodes 2 to 10 can be bought individually or in a bundle, with episodes 2 and 3 costing $0.99 each, and 4 through 10 costing $19.99; or buying the entire bundle cost you $19.99. You can check out the launch trailer below.
This news comes just shy of the true Final Fantasy XV being released for PC on March 6th, which comes complete with all of the updates and DLC that has already been released for the console versions. Square Enix also released a benchmarking tool to see if your PC can handle the game.
