Super Meat Boy With That Lemony Trine Twist
If the motivations behind Super Meat Boy simply didn’t appeal to you, perhaps Yeah Jam Fury will make a bit more sense. Rather than pushing forward to rescue the love of your life, you’re working with two other aspects of your ego in order to acquire more and more delicious mango. I don’t know, there must be people out there for whom fruit is life. I’m not here to judge.
Having grown and evolved beyond its Newgrounds origins, this game pits you against a series of crazy tough stages using three different characters. Yeah produces platforms, Jam bounces off of the walls and Fury just destroys things. Together, they form an entity capable of overcoming any obstacle. Presumably. It’s possible they’re just three hilarious screw-ups pretending at competence, but surely they can succeed with the appropriate amount of player intervention.
The full release will come with 100 levels and a level editor, leaving you with tons of things to do beyond just getting good at this challenging game. McLeod Gaming is releasing the final product in December, leaving hardcore platform gamers a bit of time to get their affairs in order before this game takes over their lives.
