Check Out These Indie Game Classics in the Blue King Bundle

Isaac, Meat Boy, and More

Other than the launch of Hitman 3 yesterday, we’re in a bit of a slow spot for new game releases. So, what better time than now to go back and check out some of the classics. Specifically, I mean some of Indie game’s finest titles in this new collection of games made by Edmund McMillen, the creator of the Binding of Isaac and co-creator of Super Meat Boy.

Super Meat Boy

In a new collection titled The Blue King Collection, you can get your hands on some of McMillen’s most notable projects.

The collection is available for purchase on steam, and is currently on sale for 71% off –you may even get a bit of an extra discount if you already own some of the games included. The complete list of games included in the collection are as follows:

  • The Binding of Isaac
  • The Binding of Isaac: Wrath of the Lamb
  • The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
  • The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth
  • The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+
  • The Legend of Bum-Bo
  • Super Meat Boy
  • The End Is Nigh
  • Gish
  • The Basement Collection
  • Fingered

If you are a fan of roguelikes and have not played the Binding of Isaac games, then you owe it to yourself to give them a shot as one of the pioneers of the genre. The bundle includes both the original game and one DLC pack, and the remake, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and two DLC packs –just in time for the release of the third and final expansion, The Binding of Isaac: Repentance before its March 31 release. It also includes the Isaac spin-off, The Legend of Bum-Bo.

Super Meat Boy and spiritual successor, The End Is Nigh are great games for hardcore platformer fans. Super Meat Boy recently had its true successor, Super Meat Boy Forever released –you can check out our review of it here.

Overall, this is a great collection and one that Indie Game fans should really consider picking up if they haven’t already bought these titles separately.
