Angela Hill Does Her Best Street Fighter at UFC Weigh-in
There is no question, UFC fighters can be quite the entertainers during official weigh-ins. They can also be quite the nerds too. Ronda Rousey has previously revealed herself to be a huge fan of video games, and of Pokemon and World of Warcraft in particular. She is such a Pokemon fan, she even once moderated a Pokemon forum. Today, we learned that UFC Strawweight, Angela Hill, is also a nerd as she surprised everyone during a UFC weigh-in with a spot-on impression of a certain Street Fighter character.
During Friday’s weigh-in, Hill dressed up as one of our favorite childhood video game characters. In a tribute to “Street Fighter” character Sagat, Hill got her hands wrapped and put on his signature eye patch before her face-off with fifth-ranked Strawweight, Jessica Andrade, on Saturday night. Everyone at the weigh-in, including Dana White, seemed awkwardly stunned but us nerds loved it. The eye-patch, the bouncing leg, ready to strike, and that trademark laugh were all bang-on. She nailed that Sagat impression!
Sagat, a series veteran since the original Street Fighter released in 1987, was originally an unplayable boss character. He later became a playable fighter and series staple in almost every game thereafter.
Angela will be taking part in UFC Fight Night 104 Saturday night, fighting the 15-5 Jessica Andrade.
