Capcom released the latest iteration in one of its premiere titles, Street Fighter 6, on June 2nd. The game is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. The company has confirmed that since its release earlier this month, it has hit one million in sales. Furthermore, the franchise has surpassed fifty million in cumulative sales. Moreover, Capcom has unveiled more details about some of its eSports plans for the game.

By an official statement, Capcom stated, “As a result of providing features for a diverse range of players, the title was met with broad acclaim, driving sales to 1 million units worldwide.” Moreover, Street Fighter 6 is a special title that is filled with more features, options and improvements than before. Therefore, players will have the opportunity to enjoy the World Tour Mode, Battle Hub and controller options that are tuned for both seasoned veterans and beginners alike.

In closing, the company noted, “Additionally, Capcom is carrying out a variety of initiatives to build excitement for Street Fighter 6 in the realm of esports, including with the news that it will provide over $2 million (approx. 260 million yen*) in prize money for the Capcom Pro Tour 2023, which features the title, of which $1 million (approx. 130 million yen*) will be awarded to the champion, marking the company’s largest-ever event prize pool.” Also, the company remains committed to the fans and will continue to make great games.
