What Kinds of Games Does the Red vs Blue Creator Have in Store?
Developers behind Red vs Blue and RWBY recently announced their their big venture into game publishing. This new division will focus on releasing indie titles to all platforms; in the process, help independent developers launch into the public eye. And they will accomplish this via their network of fans. With 30,000,000 million YouTube subscribers, approved devs will get access to a massive viewership circulating Rooster Teeth’s media network.
As a result of this new venture, we may be in store for a steady stream of neat indie titles. What makes Rooster Teeth so prominent and successful in entertainment is their keen sensibility toward action and humor. Apply that to gaming and we could be looking at another big publisher. But that’s on the horizon. As the Indie world grows, Rooster Teeth is a welcome addition for the creative and passionate devs who need help in funding, publication, and distribution.
“We invite the aspiring, stellar, creative indie developers around the world to contact Rooster Teeth Games and pitch their best content and games to us,” director Michael Hadwin told GI.biz. “We are eager to share access to the vast potential audiences within the Rooster Teeth community, and to publish and deliver new and exciting content to gamers worldwide, starting with Battlesloths.”
Rooster Teeth currently has their own RWBY: Grimm Eclipse available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Meanwhile, their first published game will come as Battlesloths 2025: The Great Pizza War by Invisible Collective, available Spring 2017.
