First Robin to Appear in an Injustice Game, and He’s Mean
Video from a live Twitch Stream introduces us to Injustice 2‘s latest addition, Robin. We get an action sequence between father and son as Robin fights Batman, precipitating with revealing dialogue. You’ll immediately note the different play-styles and one of Batman’s alternate outfits during the showcase. Let’s get started:
We received this footage thanks to YouTube channel ‘GamePlay only – Trailers and Gameplay.’ As you can see, this Robin is not only different from other characters, he’s a unique iteration with a move set to reflect. Damian Wayne wields the sword as learned from his upbringing in the League of Assassins(same organization that trained Batman). Like father like son, what sets him apart from the rest of the Batman family, besides Red Hood, is his willingness to kill.
And during the livestream, Producer Ed Boon claimed that relatively obscure characters were coming to the Injustice 2 Roster(fingers crossed for a Bat Woman). We’re not completely sure what that means, but we do know that third-party characters will arrive in conjunction. Without a doubt, we’ll see Mortal Kombat characters among them.
NetherRealm has also stressed that more characters will be playable at launch than any other game. We are still confirming names as they come, so keep your eyes peeled.
Injustice 2 releases for PS4 and Xbox One May 16, 2017. Before then, players can sign up for the Beta. According to Ed Boon, codes are going out as we speak, so be sure to check your email.
