Midboss Publicly Flips Off Trump Voters on Twitter
MidBoss took to Twitter yesterday, making a strong statement towards any and all Trump voters interested in buying 2064: Read Only Memories on Steam or PS4.
“If you voted for trump or support his fascist regime please don’t play our game.. Just go fuck off!”
MidBoss is a proud proponent of “LGBT lifestyles within gaming culture.” They employ a staff of “professionals from diverse backgrounds” at their office in San Francisco. While this doesn’t automatically mean opposition to the current American government, this sort of reaction is by no means unique. Oculus Rift founder Palmer Luckey became the subject of intense public scrutiny once people discovered he supported Trump. Coming out for or against the current government is always a risky move, especially after such a contentious election cycle.
The public response, according to Gamerevolution, has been positive. People “want more devs to say this” kind of thing. We can expect more and more public figures, game developers included, to get vocal about Trump. His administration and their… divisive policy decisions are going to be a hot topic for years to come.
