Firewatch Surpasses One Million Copies Sold
Back in October we reviewed the Xbox One version of the game and said this about Firewatch: “In conclusion, this is a definite step up from what PlayStation 4 owners received not too long ago. While Firewatch for Xbox One still carries familiar framerate hitches and occasional visual oddities forward, it’s a notable improvement over the launch of its predecessor. And, with such striking visuals and great voice acting, it’s certainly worth your time and money, so long as you don’t go in expecting an amazing twist ending.” Today, Firewatch developer Campo Santo took to Twitter with a brief message to announce that the game passed one million copies sold late last year.
Firewatch launched for PS4 and PC on February 9th, 2016, with an Xbox One release in tow on September 21st in North America, and on September 30th in Europe. You can take a look at the tweet below:

The high volume of sales is well deserved as the game is a nominee for several of our Game of the Year awards. In addition to the 90+ review scores from us, the game was recognized for its amazing story, stellar voice acting and is widely considered one of the, if not the, best indie game from 2016.
