Check Out ‘Rise & Shine’ for PC and Xbox One
Welcome to Gamearth, a once peaceful planet now threatened by the warmongering Space grunts of Nexgen. In the aftermath of their devastating first strike a child named Rise is forced to take on the sacred gun Shine―and with it the fate of his world. This is Rise & Shine and it looks amazing.
Developer, Super Awesome Hyper Dimensional Mega Team (say that five times fast!) is preparing to release Rise & Shine sometime in 2017. With a Q2 2016 date originally scheduled, it took a little longer to arrive but quality takes time, doesn’t it? Hand painted backgrounds, beautiful animation, and more easter eggs than you can count the experienced devs at SAHDMT really wanted to bring their A-game to PC and consoles. While screens and this 10-month-old trailer are already enough to have us excited we surely can’t wait to see more.
Key Features:
- Rise & Shine is a love letter to the whole video games history and is full of Easter eggs and homages for all gamers with a keen eye. And you shoot a lot of stuff too.
- You haven’t seen levels like these because nobody is crazy enough to do what SAHDMT has done. All the backgrounds in Rise & Shine are ginormous hand-drawn illustrations with different parallax scroll layers, so every step you take is completely different with no repeating elements or tiling.
- There is a tight relationship between Rise & Shine‘s gameplay and story. There will be drama, action, big bosses and surely the most mind-blowing ending of all time. Guaranteed.
- Some new gameplay elements and mechanics like the use of covers on a shooting 2D game, RC bullets, and shooting-based puzzle solving.
- All the in-game audio and music is done by Damián Sánchez, a Jerry Goldsmith Award nominee.
