Bloodstained Delayed To 2018, Team Adds More Devs

Bloodstained Won’t See Daylight Until 2018

Say it ain’t so. Those anticipating the release of Bloodstained, the highly successful Kickstarter title will sadly have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on the full-release. It hurts, we know. We got our hands on Bloodstained back at E3, and it felt very, very good. Despite the delays though, this isn’t necessarily terrible. IGA posted a video update, citing their reasoning for this which you can watch below.

IGA’s biggest desire with this was that they felt there was some issues with how the development of the game was proceeding. As such, he figured it would be wise to help enlist some extra hands. IGA feels that by adding extra developers, the game will be done right the first time and not suffer similar backlash that other Kickstarter titles had suffered through on launch. Delays are never great to hear about, but hearing that IGA wants to add even more polish to the game before it launches is still very reassuring, especially since we have high hopes for Bloodstained to deliver on it.

There’s still no clear-cut release date for Bloodstained, however IGA and his team are aiming to shoot for a release of the first half of 2018. IGA went on to note in his video update just how much it pains him to delay the game, but notes that “The last thing I want to do is keep our backers waiting, but after receiving such incredible support, I feel responsible for delivering the best product I possibly can.”. It’s only a matter of time until Bloodstained drops, but we’ll be sure to provide you any new updates on this title as they come to light, so keep it locked on COGconnected for the latest news from the industry.
