52-Minute Star Citizen Gamescom Demo Puts No Man’s Sky to Shame

Star Citizen Gamescom Demo Is Impressive

From the mind of Chris Roberts, acclaimed creator of Wing Commander and Freelancer, comes Star Citizen. The 100% crowd funded game aims to create a living, breathing science fiction universe with unparalleled immersion and everyone is invited to follow every step of development. More than a space combat sim, more than a first person shooter and more than an MMO: Star Citizen is the First Person Universe that will allow for unlimited gameplay.

Today, some footage has emerged from Gamescom showing some of the games amazing features. A demo can be seen below and it truly is amazing to see how far the game has come along.

In the demo, you’ll see a player accepting a contact, then landing on a planet to get the details on the contract. In the game you land and go anywhere which is pretty amazing. The demo shows us how the planet exploration works as well. Unlike No Man’s Sky, the planets aren’t randomly generated. But rather have actual places that are developed to give users an experience that’s guaranteed to have a certain level of quality. Also, Star Citizen has a narrative to give players extra incentive who wish to play for the story. So far, so good!

Star Citizen

The developer calls it an unprecedented chance to live your own deep space adventure! Star Citizen places you in the middle of a living, breathing science fiction universe populated with friends, enemies and the unknown. You decide how to make your way in the galaxy, whether you’re a simple merchant trader, a fearsome pirate or a badass mercenary… and anything in-between. In Star Citizen, you control your destiny as you inhabit a world with an unparalleled level of immersion.
