The Steam Summer Sale Is Back And Better Than Ever
It’s time to dust off your wallet, or PayPal, or whatever. The Steam Summer sale is upon us, and despite that near infinite list of shame in your Steam library you KNOW you want to buy some more games, right? Recently, Steam altered how their sales work, and the Steam Summer Sale is no exception. I’m going to tell you how to get the most out of the sale, and point out some of the better deals right now.
Flash sales and daily deals are gone. When an item goes on sale, that’s its sale price for the duration. You no longer have to check Steam 17 times per day during a sale, or feel scared that the game you want might be cheaper tomorrow. That’s a good thing! As a general rule, if a sale is going to expire before July 4th (the end of the sale) you’re absolutely safe to buy.
That doesn’t mean that new things won’t go on sale – they will – it just means that as soon as something that makes your eyes twinkle is on sale, you can jump all over it. There’s also a handy browser extension called Enhanced Steam which gives some nice to have information such as the lowest ever price for items, current lowest price (on other sites), and any 3rd party DRM on an item in addition to customizing how things look on the Steam site. It’s pretty life changing, especially during an even like the Steam Summer Sale.
Simple, right? You can head over to Steam right now, or check out this little list of things I think are worth checking out!
