A Fallout 4 Far Harbor PS4 Patch is complete and should be coming very soon
Fallout 4 Far Harbor has been well-received for its interesting story, new loot, and other aspects; but what has not been so well-received is its poor performance on consoles. A few days ago, we told you that Bethesda was working on a fix, and now we have word that a Fallout 4 Far Harbor PS4 Patch is done and has been submitted to Sony. This is from Bethesda via their Twitter feed:
We’ve submitted our update to Sony to resolve performance issues affecting some within Far Harbor. We will notify everyone when it’s live.

So, that means that PS4 owners should see the patch sometime this week, hopefully. Bethesda did not go into detail about all of the issues that the Patch will address, but the framerate stuttering would undoubtedly be at the top of the list. Users have reported that Fallout 4 Far Harbor slows down significantly at times, and this seems to be related to the ubiquitous fog that blankets the new region.
None of this is new for fans of Fallout 3, which faced similar challenges early-on. However, Bethesda has been active in trying to resolve issues, and this latest patch is evidence of that – and let’s also not forget that Far Harbor is a massive add-on that is bound to need some tweaks. Let’s hope that things go smoothly from here on in for the Fallout 4 expansions.
