The notes for Dark Souls 3 Patch 1.06 aren’t very clear, but here’s what is likely in it
From Software is legendary for its horrible, unclear patch notes, so it is actually not totally clear what the recent Dark Souks 3 Patch 1.06 has added to the game. However, VG247, with the help of some very savvy Redditors, has pieced together what the Patch probably contains. Of course, they are not confirmed officially yet.
Here’s what we think is in Dark Souls 3 Patch 1.06:
Daggers are being rebalanced – not “short swords” as From Software’s notes said (probably a translation error). There is a 5-10% AR (attack rating) increase for all daggers. Specifically:
- Parrying Dagger – 10%
- Dagger – 5%
- Mail Breaker – 10%
- Bandit’s Knife – 5%
- Harpe – 10%
- Rotten Ghru Dagger – 10%
- Corvian Greatknife – 10%
- Handmaid’s Dagger – 7%
- Scholar’s Candlestick – 10%
- Tailbone Short Sword – 5%
- Brigand Twindaggers – 20%
Dual-Wielding Weapons: suspected changes include:
- Increase in stamina cost for all L1 attacks, limited AR increases to compensate
- Brigand Twindaggers – 20% increase in listed AR
- Gotthard Twinswords – possible increase in Guardbreak damage
Magic:
- Farron Hail – tighter projectile spread
- Crystal Hail – fires three volleys instead of one, and projectile damage unchanged
- Farron Dart and Greater Farron Dart – unconfirmed casting time improvement
So far, no reason to believe Dark Souls 3 Patch 1.06 brings changes to the Blue Sentinel and Blades of the Darkmon summoning levels. In the meantime, if you are looking for some great Dark Souls 3 Tips for Beginners, check out our recent article here.
